Ive tried everything from nicotine replacements to going cold turkey and I just can’t quit! I don’t feel like myself when I stop and my life seems like its in slow motion!
How did anyone on here successfully quit?
I used the nicorette gum to quit and I smoked for 35 years so it can be done. The main thing is you have to really want to quit. I feel so healthy now, I don’t wheeze anymore, don’t have chest pains or a cough, and now I love to exercise.
Try keeping busy doing something new that you don’t associate smoking with and that makes it easier also.
There is a new pill out Chanpix that is having almost 100% success rate so maybe you could ask your doctor. Good luck

Just refuse to buy them and when you feel like smoking eat something and have something in your mouth like carrot sticks.

Well I smoked for ten years, but once the price of the brand that I smoke started going up, I stopped buying them. Yes, it’s true that once you stop smoking you gain weight, but you also save money, and your health will start to improve. Just think of all you will gain by not smoking.

That’s par for the course. It can take months to begin feeling even faintly normal. I suggest you ask your doctor about Chantix, it’s far and away the most effective stop smoking med. Use it for three months, six if you still haven’t stopped at 3. Nothing is guaranteed, but you have a real chance with that one.
