i would like to know how others quit, and with any aids used
The Allen Carr method, it’s the most successful method available. It’s better than ever single other method because it makes you realize that there’s no reason to smoke and that you’re not "giving up" or sacrificing anything.
I was a pack-a-day smoker and was under the strong illusion that I loved smoking and I read this book just out of curiosity and quit. I had just finished college and I knew that I couldn’t bring the dirty habit to the real working world. After I finished the book, I just completely forgot about smoking. I had absolutely NO withdrawal symptoms or urges to smoke. It was almost as if it was too good to be true
I recommended the book to my friend’s father, a 2 1/2 pack-a-day smoker who had been smoking for 41 years. He read the book and quit as well and has been cigarette free for nearly 2 years now.
I have a link to the book on amazon. I know you quit but I think it would be good if you recommended the book to others who want to quit. Read the reviews to see just how many people quit without any issues and remain smoke-free.

Three months on nico gum…and never saw any use for it afterward.
Three years smoke-free and since I took up cycling, I breathe better than a newborn baby!
Take lots of vitamin C to repair damaged lung tissue

I was never addicted to the Nicotine. I was addicted to the HABIT of smoking. Eliminating or changing the places where I normally smoked helped a lot. I quit drinking beer for 2 years because I wanted to smoke then. I also switched to drinking tea (I never smoked with tea, but always with coffee. weird, huh?). I also stopped watching TV in the evening and listened to audiobooks or music while working on a hobby.

Some people can just quit cold turkey. My parents did. For some reason, some people can just stop and others cant on their own.

My mum went to a non smoking clinic and all the people in the group supported each other. Before that she had tried everything e.g. Zyban, Nictotine Patches, Nicotine Inhaler and she said the only thing that worked was the non smoking clinic and the encouragement from others and she had been smoking for 50+ years! Well done Mum

hey Donna…
I started was given a puff…of paper cigarette at 7..I think by my adopted cousin…she said it was cool and we..my brother and I wanted to immitate…be cool….of course we boasted about it..big deal…
Fast forward…8-9 years…me and friends…camp..was a smoking expereince,,,of course…among the so called cool guys…(who got caught…somebody snitched …very uncool…and one of my good freinds…got like a borther to me..I followed him to camp from 11+…our families were sorta close…family friends…his brothers and mine..and our sisters…two of my other less close freinds maby three or four alos got caught in the round-out and show down at the OK…saloon…upps..corall…it was a christian camp…
Anyways…by 16 i’d tried and bought my own a couple of times..that and the sex thing when changes started happnennig rapidly from 11-14+….anyways…by 17 I was smoking in the school bus…I mean chain…and everybody was asking me …why…nereves…insecurity….
Of course I hid it from dad and mom…and grandma…though I’m sure they smelled it on my breath…grandma too when she’d open up after 12…2…am …to let me home from house parties….and school barbequees…you know all that stuff…
Anyways..while in college..I gave my life to the big dude upstairs…the LORD JESUS…met him personally…read his accounts and prayed regularly and fuunny things began to happen…I got so caught up in church/friends …I just forgot to have sex for 12 years…(1986-1999)….believe it the 80’s to boot….my roomate who wasn’t the least bit interested in things religious…who’d been clubbing with me and I with him…asked me why I smoked and I threw the last pack away…sometime later…I think late 85…around December…also the last month I had sex…I’m sure…
I never smoked again either till 1999 also…when I started clubbing again…having grown tired of the non girl…no real romance thing…and wanted some fings I’d missed out on…or opportunities Ididn’t take back in college…I didn’t find anybody serious enough anyways in the church…to get hitched..and the one girl was soon to get engaged to…died suddenly….sure I had lots other opportunities and I went out like every weekend…but just freinds..and me…a good looking …fairly well-built guy…I mean …by size standards…not in me head…in me head …i can out ….*** anydude…take anydude’s girl…given the chance…and I mean…Big John Holmes and Long "Dong SIlver’s too…I’ve sen there movies…E-true Hollywood stroies…and I know…I’m the better man…thanks though to the KING…not Elvis…I mean…the Jesus of Nazareth dude…Heck. In 82-83..the long-hair days…the girls would be literally be screaming at me the high school girls…busses would pass me by and they’d just ogle me…out the window…and call out to me…of course I was shy then and so-called super-cool so I’ve had my options…always have…..
When I went back to college in the 90’s to do a second degree… this one girl couldn’t believe i’d wasted my most of my 20’s … and half of my 30’s without sex…we were in New Orleans in 99…at a conference and I was told..she was up for it…I turned it down…not her…and the strip clubs…the guys and sme of the girls I think went…but not me…but you know what…unless your a nun or a monk…sooner or later….the bugs gonna get ya…and even though i’ve met and pay respect to the dude’s who I KNOW 300% BIIGER THAN ME…so that i always try to hit deflate…when my head starts to grow too big…I was made and so is everyman…with the notion and apparatus…to eat..drink…sex…and for some of us….enjoy other substances…even if they hurt….
So what am I saying…both sex and smoking activate similar pleasure mechanisms..in the brain..and the nervous system…especially the CNS (central portion…+spine with cord)…also head and neck nerves…involved…non-central called peripheral…system…and if you’ve been active with either one…un-regulated…or monitored…the tendency…let’s call it or habit….is learned by the brain…within a relatively short period of time…depending of course on amont of times…frequency….numbers of encounters…in this case cigarettes…and emotionally chraged or relevant situations…involved…which modulates…and controls…yes…that’s where we think the influence for the mind comes from…and yes the mind/brain influence…is what determines…motivates and ultimately controls….not only heart rate…digestion…muscular activity..indirectly and directly…they govern behavior period…everybody’s….yours and mine…(enough about brain-body structures…involved in compulsive-impulsive behaviors)…fortunately the cognitive component…can become stronger….such that the emotive conponent is less out of control…though still important…you see out of control emotionality….an exubberance….of learned…em

I quit smoking by using herbal.
It take me quite sometimes to get rid of this smoking habit. But it don’t have any side effects to my body. Moreover I manage to quit smoking naturally without any withdrawal symptoms.
Last time, it is quit difficult to get all herb in one pill. However with the technology today, the manufacture manage to combine the useful herbs into single pill.
