Stop Smoking Cigarettes

Stop Smoking Laser Treatment in Toronto

I read this as written by a patient at the Stop Smoking Laser Treatment of Toronto facility:

I got laser therapy this past Saturday (May 6th) and have not smoked since! i have absolutely no cravings OR WITHDRAWAL SYMPTOMS! I do think about smoking occasionaly…for like a few seconds then I seem to forget. I guess this is part of getting rid of the mental/habitual aspect of it. Hope this helps!

The more I hear about lasers, the more it sounds like they totally help curb cravings.

Is the Best Way to Quit the Stop Smoking Shot?

I already know all about the patches, gum, etc. I’ve tried them and I have way under zero willpower. But I want to quit. Does anyone have any little tricks they came up with that help? Also, a friend of mine got the ’stop smoking shot’ and claims that it worked really well for him.  I’d love to hear other people’s experiences.

Is the Stop Smoking Laser Effective?

I’ve heard lots of good things lately about the stop smoking laser, including that it works better than many other methods of quitting ‘the’ habit.  The main problem with laser therapy is its cost, but when you add up what you’re spending on cigarettes every week, the end result might be worth it.  Maybe its expense will even encourage you to stick with the results!!

Is she Stop Smoking Laser Better Than the Patch?

This is what a buddy of mine, who had tried the patch before with little luck, had to say about the stop smoking laser treatment:

I had this done 6 weeks ago, I have not touched a cigarette since. It was painless, fast and in my opinion worth the money.

The place I went to usually recommends 2 sessions, I have not felt the need to go back for a 2nd one as of yet, the 2nd being 4 weeks after the first.

After having it done I went home and fell asleep for about 3 hours, my daughter said she never heard me snore so loud, so it obviously does something to your body, it is not mind over matter. That was the only side effect I had from it.

At first I did have craving but nothing that didn’t pass with in seconds. None of these craving were like “OMG I have to have a cigarette” it was more like “oh yeah I used to smoke when I did this” such as drinking my morning coffee, more of a needing to do something with my hands habit (if that make sense).

For this to work you have to have the desire to quit.

I thought that last line was especially important!

Do Quit Smoking Aids Even Work?

Quit smoking aids seem to work for some people and not for others.  There are lots of different methods out there, including injections, laser treatments, gums, patches and just dropping the habit cold turkey.  It may take several times, but there’s not wrong with quitting more than once!

Should You Use a Quit Smoking Aid to Quit?

If you have a serious disease that requires quitting smoking, but you still smoke, you might just have to use a quit smoking aid.  Just think that it’s already bad for you – do you really want to exacerbate another medical condition with an expensive and foul smelling habit?  Using a gum or even hypnotherapy will probably end up being more affordable to spending $7 on a pack of cigarettes every day anyway, so you’ll be saving yourself money in the end.

Free Help For Quitting Smoking Aid

My cousin is 35 years old and wants to quit smoking for many reasons (her health being one of them, obviously)  – but mostly to win back her true love, whose is a SERIOUS non-smoker.

She doesn’t want to spend any money, so is trying to do it cold-turkey, but there are free quit smoking aids out there too.  I told her to at least try to quitting hotline, a 1-800 number that’s free to use and provides lots of support.

Finding a Good Quit Smoking Aid

“Smoke-Away” is an over the counter choice if you think you need some help quitting – you can find it a most Wallgreens, Targets, Meijers or Walmarts.  The kit also comes with a motivational CD and homeopathic ‘craving’ pills, which help fight the urge. I personally have known 2 long-term smokers who have successfully quit with this system.

If you’re not up for the kit, try hypnotherapy. Or you can even try a combo of both.

Best of luck! :)

Trying To Quit Smoking Again With a Quit Smoking Aid

A friend of mine quit smoking one and a half years ago and started back up five weeks ago.  It’s been a stressful time; his personal life, family life and work life have been kind of a mess.  He said, even with all the pressures, he was surprised how easy it was to pick up what he calls his ‘filthy’ habit.  At first it was just a cigarette a day, maybe more if he was drinking, but now it’s almost a pack a day again.  He’s hoping to quit again, with a quit smoking aid, and stick with it this time.

Throw them away, I said!  Obviously he’s strong enough to do it again, just like he’s done it before.  The biggest hurdle is not giving up, even if you feel like you’ve fallen back or failed.
